I used to be a hobby artist. I drew and painted whenever I had time – between patients and duties. It was something I did for myself, in silence, in the shadows.

But then I found The Mastery Program .

It was no coincidence that I chose the Milan Art Institute. I was looking for something that could give me both wings and roots. A method that could teach me the craft I was missing – but without stifling the innermost part of my voice.

Great course

I painted this painting of the kingfisher by following the principles in the online course Vivids at Milan Art.

At first I thought it wouldn't be something I could handle painting, but I was pleasantly surprised.

It was easy because all steps in the process are described well in the course.

So, if I can paint this in a few days, you can definitely do it too with this amazing course, even if you may not have much experience painting with oils.

Drawing with charcoal

One of the first things you learn in the Mastery Program is a drawing.

Here is one of my early charcoal drawings painted from a photo as part of acquiring charcoal drawing skills.

I never thought I would draw with charcoal and love it, because when I was a child, charcoal was my hated drawing material.

Maybe because I hadn't learned the techniques needed to draw with charcoal without it all rubbing together.
